Sir Patrick Dun Tercentenary Evening

2013 is the tercentenary of the death of the innovative physician, Sir Patrick Dun, who left a significant bequest to enhance medical education in Dublin, which led to the establishment of Sir Patrick Dun’s Hospital, in 1808. Patrick Dun’s personal library laid the basis for the Dun’s library that is now in the Royal College of Physician of Ireland, and has a collection of over 30,000 books.
There will be two lectures, one by Robert Mills, librarian in RCPI who will speak about the establishment of the library and the second, by Susan Mullaney, concerning the Complete School of Physic in eighteenth century Dublin.
